In official events, out of which official documents were generated, a simple translation is often not sufficient. Rather, the translated documents and documentation must additionally be certified or confirmed to be recognized in courts, authorities or offices.

As a publicly appointed and sworn translator of the English language, I am able to confirm and certify the correctness and completeness of translations between the languages German and English. This confirmation by a sworn translator is in common use referred to as "certified translation".

These certified translations, bearing the signature and stamp, thus certify the correctness and completeness of the translation and are acknowledged by the authorities.
